About Us
People and Co was originally launched as People by Design in July 2005, it is led by Heather Chatten , who has over 20 years of HR experience.
Our aim in life is to help you find creatively practical solutions for all matters concerning the management of the people in your business. You may have a particular problem, need expert advice or some additional support – we can provide all of these.

More about Heather
Heather started her career in the detergents business of Unilever as a management trainee. After a spell in Head Office she moved into food / bakery and worked for 5 years as HR Director.
Since establishing her own business, she has worked across a range of organisations including:
- Manufacturing / engineering
- Third / charity sector
- Healthcare
A graduate in French and German (BA Joint Honours) she has retained a keen interest in language and communication and is a Master Practitioner in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).
Other qualifications include:
- MBA Manchester Business School
- Member of British Psychological Society – Level A and B qualified in psychometric testing
- Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
- Employment Law Certificate
